This publication provides international police services insight into how to draft and disseminate narratives that highlight their ability to protect their community from harm and help to create a safe and secure environment. The authors guide police in the development of a language of protection, the introduction of an alternative vocabulary that can then be adopted by the community as they describe the activities of their police services.
